Dreamcast on Life Support
The brilliant Sega Dreamcast seems like it has a little life in it yet. Admittedly demand is down, obviously, on previous years, but with King of Fighters 2002 believed to be selling incredibly well, especially for a none-current (At least sorta none current) console. So its with still a bit of surprise we have news of some more new releases for this console.

| Again, it is under the
publics pressure that Kid has been forced to decide
to port the two adventure titles Iris and Erde from the
Playstation 2 to the Dreamcast. Release date has been set to August 7th |
They're not first party titles
obviously, but we didnt expect that with production having ceased
quite a while back.
To be honest i'm very happy with this news, not because i know
about the games or anything, but its nice to see life still in
the DC and some developers still willing to support it.
Demand for dreamcast software is still surprisingly high, a lot higher than the technically superior Xbox (hate to say it , but it is true) in Japan, as illustrated by the success of KOF 2002. I'm sure it'll warm hearts at Sega that demand is indeed at this height still, though it does put a larger cloud over why exactly the Dreamcast did have a short life span.
On a bit of a sidenote, Sega waived fees for the Dreamcast pre 2003 so all developers now have to pay for on the console is the GD.
Now lets hope this news and information will entice Playmore (owners of the former SNK) will port their version of SNK vs Capcom onto the system :-D...I can dream cant i?
