Sure its a little later than planned, but any time this year i think would be good. For one thing, even if you count in the delay, it means the localisation and translation was a lot faster than it used to be. And games are being released over here with decreasing delay, which can never be a bad thing.

Originally FF:CC had been scheduled for release in Christmas 2002, so we expected a PAL release around the same time next year, which is what we have. But with the Jap version suffering repeated delays, many were expecting a similar thing to happen with the European version as well.

But with the PAL version on schedule it must've just been a japanese local thing, which to my limited understanding hasnt effected the translation process etc.

Unfortunately the trend isnt continuing with Final Fantasy XI, but hopefully this wont be a one off
