Acclaim has confirmed that there will be no more Gamecube titles
developed at their various in-house studios. Current in-production
games will still ship, but there will be no more future
productions. They claim a lack of profit as the main reason.
So what does this
mean for Nintendo? Well, acclaim arent exactly rolling out one
AAA title after another, so its not a huge loss, but any
developer and publisher shunning the gamecube is a bad thing. I
cant say Acclaim themselves will be sadly missed, as for me its
been over a year since i got any of there games, but it could be
the start of many producers following their lead...
Lets hope not.
