Background - So yeah, its sorta my initial idea here to start this place, so praise or blame me for this thing :-D. But of course its everyone else this place is down to, cause i'm a lazy bastard and never do anything through to the end by myself.
But anyway, my role here is gonna be strictly on the gaming side. Thats my main hobby, as far as anime/manga goes, well its a little here and there, my interest fades from time to time. As far as gaming goes, i'm a little behind all the new stuff. I'm half gamer/half collector. In my collection theres around 20 consoles, and over 300 games. Some of these yes i've just got for collectors value, for instance my prized Final Fantasy V on the super famicom, and my Sonic 10th Anniversary collection. Tho I do have proper playable copies of these games too..
For me i prefer collecting on the retro side, partly because of all the great games i missed out on first time round, and also the money factor. New games are 40 quid, for the same price i could get myself a dreamcast , a couple of pads , memory card or a few games. Or get classic snes games and such for 3-4 quid complete.
So yeah, i realise eventually i may have to part with some of this, especially with university coming up. Or at least cut back, well, a lot.
Hopefully with my, perhaps not so extended knowledge of gaming past and present i can give you some insight and tips if you wanna join in the retro fun as well as reviews on the few recent games i have and maybe even some dvds in there too.
